This is a time for reflecting and planning for the next adventures, The tree is back in the attic (Thanks to Jennie!) and we can start with a clean slate, so to speak. The table we had the tree on has a slate top, so there you go. Clean and begin......
It is raining off and on. We have had more than an inch of rain since yesterday! Excellent start to the year.

- Our annual heart checkups are next week.
- The Austin Pastel Society Annual Juried Exhibition is on the horizon. Deadline is looming in a little over a week. I started a painting at the art walk in November. I hope to finish this painting above to enter.
- I am also committed to a painting with a Southwest theme for a trade in the Southwest forum on wetcanvas.com. It needs to be painted and mailed by January 20. I plan to paint a windmill.
- We have a trip to Florida and beyond in a couple of weeks, too.
- The University of Texas Baseball season starts in February. Hook 'em Horns!
- The International Association Of Pastel Societies Convention is in June 2013 in Albuquerque. We plan to be there.

Looks like you are busy already for the new year. The painting looks promising.
Thanks, Lou. Seems like I never catch up. Keep saying I'm not doing anything, but.... Loved your GBN's birthday photo. Wow, growing fast!
Yikes! How can there already be so many things to do???? :-) Happy 2013, Mom!
Joanna, I don't know. Good thing I don't have another job, too. I wouldn't have time to work. Guess that is why we have retirement.
