HOT and Sketches

It is typical summer here.  Hot and dry!  Looks like we ought to hit the road and look for cooler country.

I sketched out on the porch yesterday morning, but it is too hot for comfort by 9 a.m. to sit out there.

I sketched in the brown paper book with the Pilot ball point pen, quickly and freehand for Scavenger Hunt 278.

Number 7, cup.  I chose this burned cup.  Gene never wants to be called "grandpa".  I'm not sure where this cup came from.  Smile.  Couldn't have been from Christy.

This is a somewhat better shape for the cup.  The first sketch is too open on top, like you are looking down into it.

We went to dinner tonight at the Italian restaurant, Bassano del Grappa,  at the entrance to Tahitian Village.  It is a good restaurant and open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

It is still 95 degrees at 815 p.m.  There was a 10% chance of rain.  This big cloud came up on our way home.  That must be the 10% somewhere up around Waco.  Ha.

Very pretty to look at.  Come on rain!!!!
