Sketching for Hunt 263

I sat out on the porch on Easter Sunday morning and sketched in the brown paper book with a Micron 05 pen.  Beautiful day.  Gene was reading the paper so I got to sketch his ear.

Number 3, eyeglasses.  Number 4, economy - the burned out economy here, Gene's coins all bloated and green.  Number 5, earlobe - Gene's.  Number 6, eagle - a hummer, just about the opposite!  We are allowed substitutions, you know.

Did you notice all the items start with the letter "e".  EP, in British Columbia, is the host and decided that.  Some are a bit vague like:  ephemeral, egregious, early, ecstatic and so on.  Fun to try.  One of the challenges is using a permanent medium like ink with no pencil drawing.  Not so much a challenge for me as that is the way I sketch all the time.  I take that back, most of the time.

Number 7, east - looking east from my chair on the porch.  I sketched with my iPad, finger and the Brushes program.  I try not to "undo" and keep it to "real" sketching.  : )  Really looks like a brick wall, eh??  Fun, anyway.

Love these sketches, Jo--especially the eyeglasses. You make tricky drawings look easy!

Thanks, Mary. I do like the challenge sometimes. Other times I go for an easier item, heh.

I bought a new sketch book yesterday. Maybe it will inspire me to sketch more. I love the iPad sketches.

Bag Blog, the iPad is amazing. I use such a few of the wonderful items, sigh... My friend Sue carries her sketch book all the time. We will be somewhere and see something neat, I get out my camera and she says, "Wait a second, I have to sketch that!" she is an amazing sketcher.

I think I might have guessed you would like the hummer, Joanna. You have some great photos of them.
