We ate at the Yu Garden for the last time last night. They are moving the restaurant to Taos. So, if you are in Taos, be sure and stop in and eat there. Amanda and family run a great place and have excellent food. Our favorite was/is the Volcano Shrimp. The sauce has soy sauce in it and they use Kikoman, so I can't eat much. I usually have about 3 pieces with as little sauce as possible. It is scrumptious. We also had a beef hot pot and combination fried rice, these don't have soy sauce for my gluten sensitivity. Gene has combination lo mein with no chicken. We have dinner for today and more. The servings are too big. There must be at least a dozen prawns in the Volcano Shrimp.
Anyway back to the sunset. When we left the restaurant Gene mentioned the sunlight on the ski run mountain. I took out the camera to see if it would capture it. Then I noticed it was a bit pink so looked west and wow, the sunset was just starting. I took pictures as we walked back to the condo, then Gene went in and I took more photos.
I couldn't pick a favorite so here they are in a slide show. If you click on it, you can see the individual larger photos and start a full screen slideshow (an icon upper left on that page) from my Picasa photos. I put the slideshow on small here hoping the iphone people can see it.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

NM does have the best skies!
Those shrimp look fabulous!!
Love the sunsets too.
Always love a good sunset!
Bag Blog, you are so right. It was great again last night. Very similar with big fluffy clouds after a thunder shower.
Mary, the shrimp is a touch sweet (not nearly as much as sweet and sour pork) and then as spicey as you want. Has seeds, sesame??, cornstarch batter and is super delicious.
Joanna, I think of you when I'm doing sunsets, can't compare.
Interesting picture of your Volcano Shrimp dish.
Jennie, even David liked it! So I think you would, too. A lot spicey and a bit, just a bit, sweet. So good. Thanks for the comment.
