Scavenger Sketches #234

I did do some sketching this morning on the deck.  It was so gorgeous out, how could I resist.  I sketched for Scavenger Hunt 234 in the Utrecht paper size sketchbook with a pencil first then the Prismacolor pen.  I was too lazy to get up and get the pen for the first sketches.  That's the way I am.

Number 1, vehicle with wheels - the little red VW with a black top on the driveway.  Number 2, flower - the daisies by the driveway and Number 3, plant, the greenery across the way by the deck.

Number 4, cup - the same cup I always have with me when I travel, just a different angle.

Number 5, chair - one of the smooth plastic chairs on the deck.  They are like cars, hard to show the curves as lines.

Number 6 table, a little leather topped folding table from Peru that we brought along.  Number 7, tree - the same trees I sketched last time with less detail on the mountain.

Don't forget the pastel challenge on the sidebar.  Just comment on that post to get a free issue of the Pastel Journal and a chance to win Maggie Price's new book, Painting Sunlight and Shadow with Pastels, which is a good book for any artist regardless of media.

Good job on the bug, Jo! Drawing cars is so hard - glad to see you're still at it. Great discipline. :-)

Regina, thank you. I did do it in pencil so erased a few times. I did not want to make a completed drawing so didn't over do changes. Cars are definitely hard, the only line is the outline of the shape. I admire folks that paint and draw them all the time.
