As mentioned previously, I am the host for
Scavenger Hunt 221. I recycled a list from
Scavenger Hunt 28. Hmm, maybe I could cheat and use sketches from there, too? Awww, guess not.
From yesterday, Number 2 - open drawer, I substituted the open glove box in the car. Number 3 - triangle, I found this planter at the dentist's office. I colored it with metallic green marker and sharpie (that bled through to the next page and the metallic green doesn't show well, guess it reflects too much for the camera.) and Number 4 - TV, the one in the hotel room.
Today, I sketched out by the pool. Beautiful morning and supposed to get up to 90 degrees here. Again I sketched with a pilot pen and colored pencil in the brown paper sketchbook.
Number 5 - footstool, I substituted the chaise lounge by the pool and Number 6 - blue, The tile and water in the pool. You have to just ignore the purple bleed. Sigh...
There were a couple of workers trimming the tall palm trees so I took a photo and then sketched them. They wanted a copy so I had a couple of photo copies made for them. They thought it was pretty entertaining that I had sketched them.
I may get some more sketching done while Gene is at the dentist today. I need to walk, too. Gene walked this morning while I sketched.

Neat that you gave the guys copies of the sketch!
The sketches were fun and the photos were very nice. I recently took a photo of an old house similar to the photo you took.
Has Gene been riding his bike? The weather warmed up here, but the wind has still be rough. Toby did ride his bike to church the other night. I take the truck and bring him home.
Yes, Joanna, that was fun. The tree crew liked their copies. :)
Bag Blog, thank you. I always take photos of barns and houses and rarely paint them. Good intensions. Gene isn't back on his bike, hopefully this week. It has been so windy and hard for riding as you know! He has been walking.
Your sketches are great. One of these days I will do the scavenger hunt! I've been sketching more often just for the fun of it.
Jesse, thanks. Sketching is like homework for me and the Hunts keep me doing it. I almost enjoy it after these many years. Ha.
