I took my easel and a small amount of pastels out and spent a couple of hours enjoying painting and watching the goings on down the street. I had a few people stop to see what I was doing and a couple of people asked directions. I forgot to take a photo down the street for you to check my accuracy.
My set up for the day and the almost finished painting. |
You can see my sign and a peek inside. |

Remember that First Friday is tomorrow, Friday, January 7. My Austin Highlights show is continuing. Stop by and see the great art in my gallery. Always better in person.
Also, the workshop next week in Marble Falls is canceled. We did not get enough participants. Check back, though, I will reschedule with a new location and dates, hopefully here in Bastrop.

Nice work. And, it sounds like you had a really nice day. Cool.
"Sittin' on the front porch" style of painting sounds pretty good. My friend at the new Duncan Art Center put her easel up in the window to do some painting. I may have to go down and paint in her window just for the fun of it.
I like the shady look to your view!!! Nicely done. I stood outside yesterday and painted...all bundled up. lol
It was a pretty day - glad you got to enjoy it and create a cool little painting! And you new sign looks very good - I like it. Wish we could be there tonight - hope you have a great time!
Joanna, it was a great day. It was nice today, too, I didn't paint outside as I was straightening up the gallery for tonight, but I did paint a little in watercolor for some bookmarks.
Bag Blog, it is always nice to paint out and painting in the window sounds good, too.
Joan, I much prefer my weather to yours. I guess you still have snow. We are expecting to be down in the 30 - 40 degree range on Tuesday. Very cold for us, guess you will get teens!
Regina, thank you. The sign lacks my "no-block', he was supposed to bring it today. :( It was a fun night, just got home. Maybe we can paint one of these Mondays or Saturdays... when it is warm.
