I did sketch in the hotel in Raton, New Mexico, on the way home for Scavenger Hunt 195. I have it numbered with a 2 but I can't remember doing number 1 and can't find it in the two sketchbooks I was using. More wishful thinking, I suppose.
Number 2, and the only sketch for this hunt. A hand with the challenge of holding something. Micron 03 pen in the small sketchbook. |
Sadly Peppers Art Gallery in my hometown will be closing. Marky's health is holding her back. She is concentrating on health and family and has no incentive to be at the gallery. We went to Magdalena and picked up my paintings. I will have to get with it and change my website. I guess I just keep hoping that she will feel much better and just be able to keep it going. Ah well.
I went to my studio/gallery starting Tuesday. I got my things almost put away and arranged. Judy was there on Tuesday. We reviewed paper work and talked over the summer. Judy paints at the Senior Center on Wednesdays with the artists and there is an exhibit of their works in my studio at the moment. I thought today that we should have called it "Senior Moments". It will be up until the end of the month. I will try to remember to take a snapshot or two for you tomorrow.
The first Friday show for November is a Thank You to Judy and Homecoming for me. Should be fun to see everyone and visit with the local patrons of the arts. More about that soon.
Coming in December, First Friday will be a special show with Jan Weaver, Johanne Morin and Regina Burchett. It will be "Austin Highlights" and feature some of their smaller paintings for the gift buying season.
I will be giving a demo in Marble Falls on November 18. More about that at the first of the week.
Tomorrow I will close the gallery at 3:30 p.m to go to the UT baseball game against Vanderbilt at Disch Falk Field. There is a game tomorrow, Friday, at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. It will be fun and the weather is just great for baseball! Maybe we will see you there. Hook 'em Horns!
