The Festival of Trees is a great fundraiser for the Family Crisis Center here in Bastrop. This year’s Festival of Trees is November 20th, 2010 at 6:00pm, and will be held at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa located at 575 Hyatt Lost Pines Road, 7 miles west of Bastrop and 20 minutes from the Austin Airport on Hwy 71.
The trees and decorations are so beautiful and the night is one of the most elegant things going on in Bastrop. Tickets are $55 each and available by calling the Family Crisis Center at 512 321-7760. You can also be a sponsor of make a donation.
I have a couple of tickets and would like to award them to you. Then you can go to this fabulous party, enjoy some great food and drinks. For a donation of $10.00 to the Crisis Center, I will put a ticket in a drawing for the pair of tickets. I will have the drawing on November 5 at the First Friday Reception at my studio which is open from 6 - 8 p.m. that evening. If you can't get to the gallery to get a ticket, you can pay here and I will enter your name. This button is for one $10 entry/donation. I have been a volunteer with the Crisis Center since February of 1997 and have raised a few dollars at my shows raffling off tickets, usually for paintings. You can buy as many chances as you want!
I will start selling the tickets today at the gallery. You need not be present to win.
You can see photos on the Festival of Trees page link above and also more about it here on my blog.
Oh, and by the way, I am donating the small painting, Opposites Attract. You can bid on that at the Festival of Trees and come away with the painting and a $75 gift certificate toward another of my paintings. It looks great in a gold frame.
Thanks. See you on First Friday, November 6. Or before!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.
