Sketches for Hunt 193

I managed a few sketches last night.  Nothing outstanding, I'm not into it.  Too many things going on when we are in Albuquerque.  Art falls to the wayside.

These were done in the large sketchbook with a Micron 05 pen, scribbled free hand.  You should be able to tell that.  Sigh....

Number 1, sharpener.
Number 2, pencil.  Number 3, eraser and Number 4, book.
I see that the name of Gene's book fits me so well, I'm always a day late and a dollar short.  Sigh......

Ah, I take that back about no art time.  Gene took me to the Albuquerque Art Museum yesterday.  It was a nice visit.  The main exhibit was abstract, Sensory Crossovers:  Synesthesia in American Art.  So that was interesting but not too exciting.  I liked the Georgia O'Keefe piece, Gray Cross on Blue.  The light in it is great.  She is not my favorite artist either, but fun to see any "real" paintings.  There was an electric light piece I liked in a dark room but I'm not up to looking it up and I didn't write it down so you could see it, too.

The outside sculptures and decorations were nice.  Here are a few photos.

Visitors, real Gene and lifelike sculptures.
The fountain in front of the Albuquerque Art Museum.

Part of the main sculpture.

These photos don't get larger when you click on them. Wonder why?? Ah well.

I was wondering the same thing about the photos, Mom! I wanted to see "real Gene" vs. the sculpture people better.

I visited the Albright-Knox Gallery. It was a bit too modern for me, but it did have some Impressionist that I like.

Hi Joanna, maybe when I get back to my photos, I will post larger ones.

Bag Blog, I'm ususally not too much into "modern" either. Thanks.

Teresa, It takes about 8 photos or more to show it all. The pioneers, conquistadors, priests, animals, etc. Very nice piece. Pieces are bigger than life-size so quite large. Thanks.
