The Great Divide
Pastel on Pastelbord, 20 x 16 inches
Pastel on Pastelbord, 20 x 16 inches
I finished this yesterday. It is probably a little brighter, at least before I posted it here, I thought it was. I guess it depends on your monitor. The highlights on the pines on the right are pretty yellow in real life. Anyway, I hope you enjoy seeing this.
Stop by my studio tonight (see Calendar above) to see the new paintings and newly framed paintings to go to New Mexico next week. They are so much nicer in person.
Yikes! Our departure date is quickly arriving. Work, work, work ........

I do like the painting and hope y'all have a great First Friday evening. Hugs...
Hi Joanna, thank you so much. Guess you will be tapping your toes with old Ray Wylie?? Hugs
Jo ! The landscape is delicious!
Leslie, well, thank you so much. The First Friday receptions were nice, but it still isn't the "old BFAG days". We did see Lester S. Hadn't seen him in ages......Take care.
Love the water in this one Jo, the reflections are great!
Great seeing some of the entries in the APS show too, there were some very good entries in that show as usual.
Happy Painting
Rae
You out-did yourself this time.
Hi Rae, thank you so much. Water is always a challenge, but I like doing it.
Bag Blog, thank you. That is from our circle trip from Taos to Antonito to Chama and back to Taos. I think near the border of Colorado and New Mexico.
The great divide is beautifully done. You have a very interesting blog, which I look forward to follow.
hmuxo, Hilda, thanks for stopping by. I will check out your blog, too. You do lovely pastels.
