Quick note. Texas won the Regionals. Yay!!!
Joanna put up her notes for today here.
We all were talking about last year and the 25 inning game! Any baseball fan would want to have a look at some wonderful stats and the rundown check Joanna's page for that here.
This was a snippet: "I love how the game started with Travis Tucker hitting a lead-off single. He did not get another hit for almost 7 hours. And, that was the last hit of the game. Lovely bookends."
The official texassports.com story here for today.
I hope I got a couple of good photos. The game was super!!!! "The Eyes of Texas are upon you..........." So cool when the whole stadium sings. Wow. They also did the Texas! Fight! at one point. One side of the stadium yells, "Texas!" and then the other side yells "Fight" . It wasn't when Texas was on offense like it should have been, but fun to hear anyway! I can't imagine that at the football games with 80,000. Tonight about 7,000.
All in all a good day, even if it was about 95 with a 10 degree heat index so it feels 105. Poor players! Rice had to play two games, ah well. Better them than Texas.
Next weekend on to the Super Regionals for the best two out of three games. Hook 'em Horns!
By the way, I put a calendar page on here at the top. So far I only have the July show in New Mexico, but I will shortly add more items. You can check there for art events and notes.
I'll be at the studio tomorrow after noon. Stop in and see the new balloon paintings!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Jo: Hook em Horns - Hope they go far into the tournament.
Thanks, sorry Kent State didn't make it. :( They just set the times for the Super Regionals for Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon if needed. Guess they don't know the temp will be about 100 degrees. Why didn't they make it in the evening? Sigh..... Texas will play TCU, same as last year. Hope the results are the same. Ha.
