Photos - Baseball and Roadside Sunset

I haven't posted many photos from baseball this year. I have soooo many and if you don't know the players they start to look alike when you don't have close up photos. You can see some great close up photos on Joanna's Longhorn Baseball Page (on her March Archives on March 14 for example) and the official Longhorn site Photo Galleries.

This was pretty good from the last home game. The Louisiana Tech player hitting the ball in a hit and run situation. The runner is already running from first to second.

And Jordan Etier tagging the runner out with the ball thrown by Cameron Rupp, catcher. I usually forget to take the photos. I sit and wait for something to happen and then forget I have the camera on in my excitement. But it worked this time!

I went to Smithville night before last to a going away party for Karen Darr, artist friend. She has been in the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild and the Lost Pines Art Alliance. She is an accomplished artist and fun to be around. She will be in New Mexico, so maybe I will see her this summer.

This was the sunset as I was driving back home.

This is where I stopped to take the photo. I love the solitary hay bale in the field.

This is on the way to Austin from Bastrop, yesterday. Probably near the Bastrop/Travis County line. The yellow flowers are really peaking, now. The bluebonnets and paintbrushes are long gone.

Hi Joanna, yes you would like that one. Wish I could have stopped about a minute or two before when the sun was still a ball. There were lots of power lines and not worth stopping.
