Photos Between Albuquerque and Magdalena, New Mexico

We went to Magdalena to check on my artwork at Peppers Art Gallery and visit Gene's sister. We took most of my paintings out. That way for my annual show in July, I will have all new work. I left the pastel painting of Evett's in the Evening as it is of an old building there.

There is quite a bit of snow around. This is the Magdalena Mountains from Interstate 25 north of Socorro.

This is the same mountains as we went up Sedillo Hill almost halfway between Socorro, New Mexico, and Magdalena. This is about 15 miles from Magdalena.

This is the last bar left in Magdalena. There were three bars open when we lived there.

Now my sister's in-laws house that is next to the bar was sold and has become a restaurant connected to the bar by a patio out back. We did not go in to see how looks, maybe in July.

The Magdalena Mountains near the entrance to Water Canyon. You can see my painting of this in the summer time here. The post is instructional showing changes in the composition.

Nice photos. I can't believe the house has been turned into a restaurant!

Thanks, Joanna. That is weird about the house. They supposedly fixed it up with new floors, etc., inside but sure didn't do anything outside, eh?
