I wish you a very Merry Christmas from me and all the family. It has been a great year. I want to share a little of our Christmas with you. Last year we had the tree decorated with Bolivian ornaments. This year we went back to traditional, without all the decorations. Too much stuff.
Start out with the tree.
The Bolivian nativity scenes. They have another story.
The nativity scene from Chile and the ornaments from the White House, DEA, Texas Capitol, and Texas Lottery. Gene gets the new one every year. The White House and DEA from Xochilt, our wonderful friend. The Lottery one comes from Jennie. Joanna always picks up the Texas Capitol ones for Gene so he can send one to Xochilt. They are beautiful.
Here is some posole for you. How much red chili shall I add? Actually this photo is from last year, we will start the posole, tamales and all the other good things this morning. Wish you were here to share with us. We will eat about 8:30 - 9:00 p.m. and open our gifts. Santa will fill the stockings tonight for Christmas morning.
Some biscochitos for dessert! It took Jennie and I three hours yesterday to make the cookies. We also made gluten free ones for me. By the end, you don't really care to eat them. (Not really, yummmm.)
And Snuggles, Santa's little helper in his usual mode and where we will all be by the end of the day. And Romeo in his Silent Night, Howli Night outfit.If you try to call us today and in the morning the line will probably be busy. Gene is starting his Christmas calls. We don't send cards, so he calls as many of our friends that are far away as possible! Hope you have given me your number so he can call you!
We will have Joanna, Jennie and Larry here with us for the night and day tomorrow. Jennie and the grand-dogs have been here a few days. David, Lisa, Cole and Christy are at home in Kentucky and we will be thinking of them. Gene's Mom Frances is in Albuquerque and will be with other family members. I hope you are sharing the Christmas story, family, love, fun, good food and art (in any order!) where ever you are. Merry Christmas.
Thanks to our servicemen again. We are safe and free because of their service to our country. Wishing you/them a Merry Christmas where ever you are.

We had lots of wind, snow, sleet, ice, etc. It made for an Okie mess. But we are all good today and hoping to get out to see the GGs.

Kimberly, Thanks and Merry Christmas. I add corn starch to the chile, too, instead of flour so I can eat most of it. There are lots of new food ideas out now. Try the Quinoa pasta. It is so much better than the rice or corn. Anyway, nice to see you!
