Number 1, above - the ivy and pots above the TV and Number 2, below - the phone book and shelf below the TV. We figured this house would have a big new TV for the new HD TV signals. Not.... :) We don't watch that much anyway, we are on the go. But, we were surprised.
The Balloon Fiesta is well underway. We visited the west mesa today and got a few shots of the balloons. We will go on Thursday morning and see the special shapes lift off. Should be beautiful. There were 550 balloons that lifted last Saturday morning for the first day. Amazing.
A balloon that was close to landing near the road to Corrales. A Longhorn balloon ... no the little Horn on our radio antenna.
The balloon closer to landing with the sheep on the run.
Looking across the valley from the west mesa. The direction they go depends on the breezes, of course. It is always interesting to see which way they go everyday.

Joe: NM certainly has wonderful colors from the Mexican influence.
We had a hot air balloon land next to our house in NM. In fear, our new colt ran throug the barbed-wire fence and sliced his ear, creating sort of a round knot on his ear. The knot stayed with him - Toby always said he was a knot-head. Balloons are not great for animals.
I think you need to paint the dancer with her skirts whirling.
fishing guy, thanks for stopping by. This is a busy time of year for sure.
Bag Blog, there are always unintended consequences, eh? I hope to paint some of the dancers...
Such wonderful photos... the dancing looks so lively and fun!
Teresa, we went last year, too. We were there later in the day, then, and there were so many of the seniors dancing. So nifty. (Not us dancing of course. Heh.) The groups performing and playing the music were outstanding.
