A few sketches for the new Hunt 143. It runs August 17 - August 25 so I'm a little late in this "new" hunt. These are on half pages in the 7 x 10 inch sketchbook with a Micron 05 pen.

Number 1, forest green. A little bit of the forest around us here. This is a look from the balcony. I see an ample amount of forest green every day here in the mountains.

Number 2, puce. I hadn't heard that word in ages. I had to look it up along with ecru. Then I forgot and mixed them up. Puce is a dark brown reddish purple color. So my drawing is more toward ecru than puce. Shucks, I already posted on wetcanvas. I was thinking of a sick beige which is more ecru. Oh well, I got a sketch done without color and the color is probably ecru. Number 3, mauve. This is another color I am not fond of. There is some in the middle background in this wall hanging. Because I don't like brown and beige colors I don't have any colored pencils in those colors. There is a quote in my sidebar by Winston Churchill, who was a painter, "
I cannot pretend to feel impartial about colors. I rejoice with the brilliant ones and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns." That sums it up for me.
Well, back to wetcanvas.com to change my post.
