This cute (so ugly he's cute) fellow was sitting by my computer when I came downstairs. It was sort of dark in the living room and I thought, "What is that on my desk????" I should have known. Gene always looks for unusual gifts.

From Oct. 18 to Dec. 3, 1961, 116,000 people visited New York's Museum of Modern Art before anyone noticed that Henri Matisse's painting "Le Bateau" had been hung upside down. Modernit is supposed to "transgress" standards of the tratitiona, which is why Paul Hinemith, while rehearsing one of hisdissonant orchestral compositions, said to the musicians, "No, no gentlemen -- even though it sounds wrong, it's still not right." That upside down picture doesn't make a difference which way it is. It could hand on any of the four sides. lol
