I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States.
This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.
These are pretty neat photos to give you a feel for our day at the ball park yesterday for the doubleheader with Alabama A&M. After days in the 90s it was a tad cool in the shade for some of the fans. In fact it is 60 this morning and I have a flannel shirt on. By the way we are setting up summer camp in Angel Fire, New Mexico, and the low this morning was 30. I'm sure I will need flannel shirts there in September .. maybe even snow shoes. Ha. (If you visit the link check out the summer safety tips!)
Back to the photos:
A little action in the first game .. A&M out at second.
Mutt and Jeff were the umpires.
Horns win the first game, seven innings, 5 - 1. You can see the famous guest that was there between games. Uno, the Best of Show Champion beagle, February 2008, visited the Disch.
Here is Uno at the Disch running the bases.
Down time between games.
Joanna and Jo between games.
Gene (no hair) checking out the lower deck seating.
Fans of all sizes and ages.
Horns win 3 - 9. Ended up a beautiful day.
Future Longhorns ?? running the bases.
Last runners and cleaning up.
Last fans, that is Esther and Joanna way up under the boxes. You can see how far we sit up in the stands and my photos still aren't too bad, right?
We went to dinner with Ellie and Don, a nice end to a great day.
Cool weather in South Texas this time of year is pretty amazing. We have had wet, cool weather here too. Angel Fire should be lots of fun. We almost moved there from Red River back in the late 80's, but it was not meant to be.
I Grew up in a small town , Magdalena, New Mexico. I enjoy art and the pleasure other people get from my work. I always donate some of my sales and art to charities, especially for children. That started in Bolivia with Para los NiƱos.

Maybe we will see you somewhere yet. It is nice and cool again today, supposed to be nice in OKC this week. We must enjoy while we can, eh?
