This year in addition to the dinner and live auction, there will be a casino night. They say on the invitation, "Roll the dice, and help a child become a winner." Dinner is served by the judges and staff, area attorneys, CASA volunteers, etc. It is $75 per person for a great cause. Children need someone to speak for them.
I mention this because I am a supporter of the cause and because Regina and I donated paintings for the live auction. Regina donated a beautiful Texas clouds pastel painting. I donated:
Boot Scootin'
Pastel on Pastelbord, 12 x 12 inches.
If you haven't had the chance to buy one of our paintings, now is the time to get one with ALL the money going to CASA. I hope you get to make it to the party and have a great time helping children.
CASA serves Bastrop, Lee and Fayette counties. over 400 children were served in the past 12 months at the expense of more than $1200 each child. You can help!

This one is very nice. Love the layers of her dress. The title is super.
Thanks, Jeanne. I usually do a new painting for donations, but no one here has seen this, so figure it will work. Plus it is a little different for the auction. Paintings may not bring much right now.
nice painting
Has a lovely, swinging feel to it, just like dancing!
Jo - Hope they have a great event and I wish I could come - I'll be at "Art Under the Oaks" all next weekend. Your dancing piece should go fast - let me know how CASA does!
Hi Mike, thanks for stopping by. You have a nice web page ... and beautiful paintings.
Suesan, thank you. Nice of you to stop by.
Hi Regina, thank you. We won't get to go either, but I will let you know how it goes. Maybe I can stop by your booth if we are in town. :)
Jo: That cute painting should do well to raise some money.
fishing guy, thank you. I hope the painting helps with the cause.
Wonderful colors in this painting!!! I love the shine of the floor that brings your eye around the couple's legs. Hope the night is a great one!
Thank you, Joan. This was fun to do. We watched some senior citizens dancing in Albuquerque. They were great.
