Sketches for Hunt 120

Well, I put in the title and I posted it instead of tabbing to the text. Good job, Jo. I often send e-mail without the attachment or URL I refer to in the text. I have been pretty good here and hope this is not an indication of bad habits to come here, too.

I did sketch last night in the same sketchbook as the previous post. Probably for about 30 minutes total with a Micron 05 pen.

Number 5, Back of something with the challenge to sketch the front as well. I went backwards and sketched the front first. Doesn't that sound normal for me?

Number 6, Bottom of something - a brass turtle from South America. It must be an ashtray as the shell comes off and leaves grooves where the cigarrete could be rested. Back in the eighties, many of the souvenirs were ashtrays. Hmmm.

The Turtle

Open, ashtray?

Turtle bottom.

This is probably more information than you cared for. What can I say? I get carried away!

Jo: Your sketching is so cool, love the turtle.

fishing guy, thank you. These Hunts are good for me. I would never think to sketch the bottom of something if I didn't "have to". :)

I love your apples! And I'm most impressed with your ambitious set up. Wow.

Hi Nancy, thank you so much. Now I have to find another exciting pose, right? I love to paint apples and tomatoes. I guess it is the "red".
