I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

The first photo almost looks like 3 stacked on top of each other. You wouldn't think they could pull themselves up on those logs.
Jeanne, there used to be another bigger log. They love them, I guess they get their sun and have the water around for protection?? The log is usually crowded, now that there is just the one. :)
They look pretty darn happy to be having a January day in the sun - and that's a little one in the middle, right?
Regina, Yes a little one, he was going to get up on the log then saw me and dove down deeper. The big ones seem to be used to people and don't dive. The big ones are about 12-16 inches long - the shell part. Maybe more. They are neat to watch.
Jo: What cool photos. Those turtles seem to be having a fun time sunning themselves.
fishing guy, there are many photos of them on my blog. They just sit and pose usually. The water was clear, too. Sometimes it isn't!
