As I enjoy pastels so much and have never tried portraits, I have to point you to Nicole Caulfield's first pastel portrait. Yes her first which is her beautiful daughter. Nicole does amazing work with colored pencils and this is so wonderful. The post is interesting about a portrait exhibit, too. So go on over and take a look, be amazed and check out her other great work in colored pencil.
I will finally get up a post about my entries in the Austin Pastel Society show. I promise.
