This painting, Full of Hot Air, was painted after our visit with Jennie and a trip to the festival a couple of years ago, so hopefully I will get others done this year! This is 12 x 12 inches, pastel on Pastelboard.
I will post a few photos next week for you. :)

I have a hard time with passing the torch on these awards. Instead of trying to pick 6 favorite art blogs, I nominate all of you that have blogs I regularly read. Consider yourselves recipients of this nice award and if you care to pass it on, please do.
You know I try to keep up with at least fifty art related blogs. I will make a list soon and post them, so you can check them out. Some are artists I like and some are marketing and help sites. I also look at some Austin area news when we are away. I use NetNewsWire as my RSS reader. It is so handy to check who has posted something that you wish to read in a glance. If you don't use a reader you are missing out. There are many options for this if you don't have one, just Google Rss Readers.

Lovely painting! So glad you are getting to go back to the Balloon Fiesta...it's so wonderful! I have some great photos taken the time we were there. Will look forward to your pics and later paintings. Also, congrats on the award!

Jo, thanks for so kindly expressing my current thoughts about awards and blogs. My favorites are my favorites; the list stays pretty constant.... those plus blogs from the big kids sandbox like Seth Godin...and others of interest to me but not necessarily my readers. Ditto on recommending a Reader to keep up.....eventually. Think I'm a bit late with this post.
Also I love your painting. It's a challenging subject.
Hi Nancy, You are right, so hard to keep up. If I miss more than a day I just mark them all read and peek at the favorites when I have time. My problem is everyday, depending on my mood the favorite is different. Ha.
