If you haven't seen the work of Sheona Hamilton Grant you are missing some great drawings in graphite pencil. They are so impressive and full of life. She has a couple of interesting blogs. One on her page that looks like it has finished drawings and Black on Grey on White on Blogger. I am sure you will be delighted with her work.
Also check out cowboy artist, Robert "Shoofly" Shufelt. He was an acquaintance of Charlie Force, our good friend. His cowboy graphite work is amazing!

Wow, Jo - they are both amazing!! I think it must take so much focus and determination to excel like that in one medium. I'll will bookmark both of them!
I have seen an original by Shoofly. He is absolutely amazing. He has a book out, but I haven't ever looked for it. A coffee table book more than an artists how to or instruction. Gen and Charlie said he is so down to earth and easy going.
Both of these artists are incredible! I was holding my breath in awe, looking at their work! Thanks for introducing them to us!

They are both so good. Like Regina says, it is real determination to excel in one media like that. Wow. Sheona was in the last Virtual Sketch Date and I noticed the horse sketch on her blog. Nice work.
