I'm not sure why bugs were liking the screen door this morning. I guess it was the first rays of sun. Soon there will be too much sun, it is supposed to hit 100 degrees F. Yesterday our thermometer read 100.7. Ouch! The low has been under 70 so we could have the house open, tonight will probably be the last under 70 if it gets that low. Once the temperature reaches 74 here, you can't stand the humidity, it feels like 84 or more. We played at golf early yesterday and today as we like to walk. We will be going to the high desert in New Mexico soon, right? Cool nights there.

This spider was not far away, a daddy long legs?? Whatever they both were, I would just as soon that they didn't park about eye level on our door! Well, anywhere on our door.

We had a record at DFW yesterday, 99. The AC just kicked on, I guess summer is here.
I like the bug photos, though I'm not that keen on bugs either. Our front and back doors seem to be cemeteries for pill bugs, must have something to do with having three little boys!

It's getting hot here too. That nice balmy spring weather doesn't seem to last long.
I'm not a bug fan at all. (Although stick bugs are pretty interesting to look at, lol.)

Rose and Kasie, the bugs are fun to look at. We live in the boonies so have a big share. The pill bugs are plentiful here, too. :( Thanks for looking ... I think. Ha.
How long is that stick bug. He gives me the creeps. Not a cute stick on him. Hot here too. Don't have AC but running the cooler on high and the overhead fan all night. Time for sweating. We do you move?
Jeanne, We measured the stick bug, he was 6 inches long!!! I forgot to put that in the post. He was still there this afternoon. Euuuu.
We go to NM in July, so some time to wait. It has been nice here until this week so we were caught by surprise. :) It is worse at night to be closed in.. I love to have the house open. Oh well.
Jo: Wonderful shot of the Walking Stick, he must have had a fight with a bird. I was turkey hunting one day and i ended up with them all over me. I guess I was too still.
fishing guy, bet you looked strange. I didn't check out what they eat, etc. Did you get your turkey?
