Wildflowers Photos

The wildflowers are so great. There have been better years I know, but we still get excited in th spring. My photos are along the highway mostly, but you can see the flowers all over in fields and any open area. Remember you can make the photos larger by clicking on them.

Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush

Median wildflowers.

Primroses

Crow in the wildflowers, you can see him pecking the ground for something on the right side.

Hole #14 today, pretty huh? That is a great thing about golf.

Not a very good shot, but this rooster was on Hole #13. Yes, a rooster, not a wild turkey or a roadrunner. Ha.

A few llamas down the road a ways. Something you don't see in many pastures around here. We passed them when we went to take some photos for a commission. Makes me homesick for Bolivia. Ahhhhh.

You won't believe this: Karen got me a projector for my computer today (it's not even my birthday!) and your bluebonnets are 7 feet across on my bedroom closet doors right now! How am I ever going to sleep now??? Thank you for the first real look at the bluebonnets and other wildflowers this spring. All I've see so far are a few stragglers at the entrance to our subdivision. Gonna have to take my visiting parents on a Sunday drive this weekend. Want visitors?

Jo: Are you just teasing with the wildflowers, they are just great. We have a few spring Crocas now.

Hi Susan, Glad you are enjoying the photos. You are more than welcome to stop by. Just don't expect any spring cleaning to have taken place! No time for that sort of stuff. Ha.

Fishing guy.. This is the nice time here. Wish it would be this way in July .. that is when your area will be great, right? The grass is always greener, huh?

Sounds good to me, Joanna. I got some pork chops and a roast at Elgin today. :) Susan and her family may drop by, but just for a visit.

Beautiful photos, Jo! I've seen a few along the roadside but was most tickled to see a couple of bluebonnets in our side yard - along with lots of various other wildflowers in the back. Best time of year - I just love it!

Regina, nice to have wildflowers in the yard! We get bull nettle .. ouch and a few yellow something. With the sand and pine trees not much hope.

See you....

Lovely photos Jo - I've never heard of Indian Paintbrush before - what do they look like up close?

Hmmm. Is that good or bad? Maybe you will come down here!
