Deer Photos and Baseball Note

Gene took these photos in the front yard on March 6.

The deer seem to over night there. We have a bird bath and maybe they drink water at our place. We have just trees and sand in the yard, so they don't come here to eat. I guess it is just a quiet place in the neighborhood to sleep.

The Longhorns beat Texas Tech in the Saturday game, 4 - 3. Texas had two, two run homers in the first inning and never scored again. Whew. Agony to see if they could hang on to win. They are now 4 - 2 in Big 12 Conference play. They play Oral Roberts in Austin on Monday evening and then will face Nebraska (5 - 0 - 1) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That should be exciting. Nebraska and Oklahoma tied 8 - 8 today because of the Big 12 travel rule. The game was ended after 10 innings. The fourth time a game in the Big 12 ended in a tie since the beginning in 1996. The game lasted 3 hours and 55 minutes and went past the 4:30 p.m. curfew.

You can read about this last series between Texas and Texas Tech on the official page and Joanna's baseball page, of course.
