Happy Birthday, Joanna!

Happy Birthday, Joanna!

Sorry we are not with you to celebrate the real deal. Hope your day is just super and that your new year is the same.

Joanna has never liked having her picture taken. She takes after her mother in that respect. She is the photographer, now. Look at those sunflowers and other great photos. Here are a couple of her from the past.

This was a school picture, when she was about six. She looks a little unsure. Can't say as I blame her with the lovely cut of her bangs. Geez, where was her mother? I must have been in a hurry or Gene cut them. :)

This was in La Paz. Must have been a party to go to. Joanna looks great! Ah, she does take after her mother. :)

Joanna, I deleted this and reposted so lost your comments. Sorry. There are two photos of you in La Paz. I didn't remember them either. Hmmmm.

Well, since I was accused of being a great daughter who would repost my comment, I guess I'll try. Except that I can't precisely remember what I posted.

I said something obnoxious about taking you to court over the post. I mean...really. First, there was the original indignity of living with those bangs, lo those many years ago. And, now: the added pain and suffering of reliving the whole thing.

And, then I wondered about the second photo. I have absolutely *no* recollection of that blouse or vest...nor of that haircut. Thankfully, the bangs did not zig-zag across my forehead, though. Whew.

That's not what I originally said. I'm being much more loquacious now. Oh well.

Thanks for the birthday wishes.

PS: Where are my glasses in the second photo? I suspect they must have been almost as cool as the glasses in the first one!

Joanna, that's my girl! I think you get to the point quickly, though. Ha.

SURELY, you had a hand in picking the frames. Frames were not great. Look at the ones with wings and rhinestones. Hmmm.
