Sketches for the Hunt

Scavenger Hunt 26 is going strong. I'm behind as usual, but I did sketch a few things last night. These are in my handmade sketchbook that Sue gave me. It is about 10 x 10 inches, or at least this is. The challenge this time was to sketch all 26 items in one sketch with the items on the shelves. I need to be doing so many other things that I didn't want to worry with that. Item #1-shelves, #2-books, #3-stuffed animal, #4-something wooden, #5- cup, #6-pitcher, #7-flower. The flower is artificial, but I wasn't going to go to town and buy a flower. Ha.

At least I have been sketching, and that is good.

Too bad it's too early to have any pretty wild flowers hanging around for you to sketch. And, yes...it's a good thing you're sketching.

When you sketch artificial flowers, they look artificial somehow. Remember my painting of the "Gallo de las Rocas"? I used a stuffed bird for the model and it looked like a stuffed bird in the tree. Ha.
