Lost Pines Pastel Paintings

I donate to the Family Crisis Center fundraiser dance every year. This year it is Celebrating the 60's, on February 3 in La Grange, Texas. I create a new painting for this benefit every year for the auction. (For information and tickets, call 512 321-7760) It is costume, food, dance. The band this year is The Muddcatts. Should be lots of fun! I started a painting in acrylics, but it didn't have a special feel for a donation. Yesterday in Austin, I found a photo box. It is about 10 inches high and has 3 swing out drawers. The other two sides have places for a 4 x 6 inch photo. These are the two paintings for the box. It will make a nice auction item and the purchaser will have two pastel paintings. They are done with soft pastels on Art Spectrum sanded paper, dark green color. The color on this photo isn't quite true as it was taken inside, but you can get the feel. I will take a good photo outside tomorrow and a photo of the finished box.

Great paintings. I'm looking forward to seeing the final result.

They are small, but I like them. The project sure dragged on until I had a plan. :) Thanks, Joanna.
