I painted on a commission of cactus blooms for the last few days. It has been fun after the perspective on
the buildings in downtown Bastrop, another commission. These flower paintings are small, 6 x 6 inches on panels with 1/2 inch sides so the painting is painted around and they can be hung without framing. Perfect for a small area.

In black and white, the cholla blooms on the right could have used a little more light area, eh?

Painting cactus pear blooms is so much fun and painting Cholla blooms puts me at home in Magdalena, New Mexico. Good and bad to that feeling. Ha.
I sketched too, but no time to post. Back with more later.

Thank you, Joanna. I hope she does, too. :) She hasn't seen them yet.
