Hunt 111 Sketches

Game and wheel, fun!  I sketched on the porch.  It is nice but dark, uh cloudy, and humid.  Yahtzee was on the list.  We don't have that game anymore so I substituted Left, Center, Right.  It does have a type of dice.  The other item I chose was rotate.  I found a wheel on Gene's walker.

Number 4 Yahtzee and Number 5 Rotate.

These are in the BookFactory sketchbook with a Micron 03

Joanna and Larry are coming out today.  We will have some lunch and visit.

The Longhorn baseball game was scheduled for 7 p.m. but moved up to 4 p.m.  Not sure if it will be on TV.  We can always listen to Craig Way on the Longhorn Radio Network.  We can't hear the regular radio out here so have to listen on the internet.

It is getting to be pastel time, don't you think?  Hmmmm.

Nature Calls Sketch

We need to enjoy nature from our porch while we can.  I've sketched about every view.  I zoomed in on what were little trees when we moved in here.  Now they are pretty big.

Number 2 nature - bottom of trees in the BookFactory sketchbook with the Micron pen.

We went for a drive out HWY 969 yesterday to see if the zebras were out.   We didn't see any.  We turned into a new part of The Colony and found you can drive through to the old part of The Colony and avoid HWY 71.  They are putting in gates.  I guess folks are using that route when 71 is backed up with peak traffic.  We saw a herd of deer, about 8, but down to 4 after I turned around.

These deer are so small compared to the Mule deer in New Mexico.  Like Bambi.

We have a guy working on the septic system.  Always something when you own a home.  No water interruptions yet.  He's working on the electronic part.  We have an aerobic system (I think) that waters the grass after filtering the waste water.

Hunt 110 and 111 Sketches

Scavenger Hunt 110 hosted by Joan ended today and Hunt 111 started hosted by me.  I hadn't sketched with our busy week.  PT for Gene and we had two nieces visit on the weekend.  Marikay from New Mexico and Carolyn from Tennessee.  Woohoo, what fun with all the familly.  Lots of fun and hours of conversation about "old times".  Always good.

So, being the lazy me, I sketched on the porch this morning for both Hunts.  I sketched on a page in the BookFactory sketchbook.  The top half for Hunt 110 and the bottom for Hunt 111.  Both sketches with the Micron pens.

For Hunt 110 number 2, flowers - the same old geranium from the porch/patio.

For Hunt 111 number 1, patio - subbing the screened in porch for patio.

Our Longhorn baseball team is driving us crazy.  The scores run from winning against Cal-Poly 2 - 0 and loosing to a small UT Rio Grande Valley 9 - 17.  Many lopsided scores in between.  You can see the schedule and results here: https://texassports.com/sports/baseball/schedule  I guess we are just spoiled as the team has appeared in the College World series more times than any other school and has 6 wins there.  Not looking good right now for even going.  It is the last year in the Big 12 before going to the SEC and would be nice to go out on a big win, right?  But we have a new weekend series with TCU starting Friday night!  They still have a chance!  Hook 'em Horns!
