Unused and Spicy Sketch

The sketches today are in the new Condo sketchbook which has nice plain paper for sketching with pens, pencils and charcoal.  I decided to add some color with Sharpies so of course it bleeds as did the doggie sketch.  The first two pages in the new sketchbook will be one side only!  Today done with a Micron 03 and Sharpie markers.d

For Scavenger Hunt 142  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-142-dec-20-dec-29.7551/

Number 4 unused -  some new soap Joanna gifted us made by one of her musician artists
Number 5 jalepeño or spicy - new chips I bought for the holidays and we forgot to try them.  Just as well, I tried them now and they are very bland and not spicy.

We usually leave up the decorations until a while after January 1.  Not this year.  Jennie and Larry helped us take down everything and put it up in the attic.  I decided that was a good idea as we won't see anyone for a couple of weeks to get it done.  We did get a card from my friend Sue that is about a foot tall that plays "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and has twinkle lights on it.  So we still have some spirit about the house!

Brandon gave me a new old fashioned ceramic pickup truck with a Christmas tree in the bed to sketch.  And guess what?  We put it in the boxes that went in the attic.  Not even a good photo before.  So a project for next year.

The shirt is from 2013.  We had about 28 family members come to Texas for Christmas.  Sylvia made us all shirts with our names on the arm.  Mine is the shortest.  :-)

The "kiddos" all left.  So it is quiet around here today.  There is a bit of thunder in the area but we don't expect much rain.  Maybe we will get a small shower then the rain will be gone and about 80 degrees this afternoon.  We had jackets and sweaters on Christmas Eve and Morning.  Such is the weather here in Texas.

It sounds like you had a good Christmas with everyone there! As much as I like having the decorations up for a while it was probably a good idea to get them put away while you had help there. I guess you will be having a quiet New Year's Day. We will too. It was nice to be with Jerry's sister and niece for Christmas Day, but I know he prefers the quiet for the new year. Enjoy!

Joan, thank you so much for stopping in. It is nice to have the work done with the decorations. Yes, we will have a quiet New Years. None of the family like to get out and drive on New Years Eve with all the crazies. Lots of fireworks here and shooting of guns.
