Glass House Sketch

It was nice this morning.  It was about 80º F with a little breeze.  Gene's PT was at 9:15 a.m. as they were closed Monday and all the afternoon times were taken.  I sat on sort of a bench around one of the pillars for the awnings of the buildings.  I wanted to sketch the umbrella even though it was falling apart.  There was only one umbrella on the tables. Business sign is on the list but couldn't see them from this angle, maybe on Friday.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 128  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-128-aug-31-sept-8.7239/

Number 5 glass - windows
Number 6 front of house - substituted side of business

Number 7 mailbox - not too interesting but I haven't sketched that type of mailbox in a long while.

I sketched in the small Strathmore watercolor sketchbook with the Acurit 3 and added color at home with a water-brush.

How great that you did two sketches. Seems you're getting back into the routine. Are you going to compete with me sketching umbrellas? lol

Thanks, Joan. You will be hard to match for umbrellas! They are so interesting. Not many out in the summer here, just toooo hot. It is finally cooling off so maybe I will find some more.

Jo both sketches are fun. The mailboxes are definitely different. Have not seen these around here. Hope your September is wonderful. Hugs!

Debbie, thanks so much. These mailboxes are used in apartment complexes and business malls There is a key so if you get a package they put the package in one of the large boxes at the bottom and the key in your small box. Not much to look at!
