An item on the Hunt was colorful. As we sat on the porch I thought the wildflowers are colorful and would be fun to do in watercolor.
I sketched in the Canson watercolor sketchbook, 9 x 12 inches. It feels bigger with the wire hinge. The page where you can tear it out is 9 x 12 I guess. I sketched with a Pilot mechanical pencil and added watercolor.
This is a photo so the blue tinge to it.
I decided to add ink and like this change better. I also scanned this version so the color is much better.
Number 9 colorful - wildflowers They are Mexican Hats, Indian Blankets, Spiderwort and Wine Cups. The Wine Cups are such a beautiful fuchsia color. Hard to capture in photos or watercolor.
There should be some of all of these and more in this view from the porch.
You can put wildflowers in the search box upper left to see previous posts with individual photos of these flowers.

I love watercolor wild flowers, but rarely know the name of what I paint. Yours are very nice.
bag blog, thank you. I have learned a few here in Bastrop. I never thought about it in New Mexico, they were weeds. Ha.
