Patterns and Land Sketches

Oh, is it ever wet.  We didn't get any of the rain but the air is heavy with humidity and it is very cloudy.  The sidewalks are wet.  My sketchbook feels floppy since we were having our coffee on the porch. .01 inches of rain today so far.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 112  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-112-apr-25-may-3.6807/  This is in the BookFactory sketchbook (8 x 10 inches) with the Lamy pen.  I need to use it before it dries up again.  It is a medium point so not good for detail on small sketches.

Number 9 repeating pattern - the pattern on Gene's blanket that covers his chair.  It is white with blue, gray and black designs.
Number 10 land - landscape out to the westerly lake/pond.  It is so green now you barely see any dirt and with the clouds the water even looks green.  Pretty boring!  We have the Indian Blankets blooming now but the red sort of blends into the green.  I read that your eyes can focus on the complementary colors so they vibrate.  Hmmm.

This is the end of Hunt 112, wonder what 113 will bring?

The Longhorns have a series with Oklahoma State this weekend.  That is always a tough series.  Hook 'em Horns!

Sorry you aren't getting any real rain...just the humidity. If the moisture is there you should at least get the benefits of it. I can just imagine how that somewhat damp sketchbook feels. At least you are dry on the porch.

Joan, thanks. The weather is so nice for sitting on the porch, but the lakes are so low. The first year we were here they were dry so at least it isn't that dry. Lots of rain around us. Flooding in Houston, but that is 170 miles away.
