Austin Pastel Show and Sketches for Hunt 108

The Austin Pastel Society has their annual juried exhibit in Austin.  https://www.austinpastelsociety.org/page/39116/annual-juried-members-exhibition

You can visit the gallery website to see the award winners and vote for your favorite painting.  Click on the images to see larger and about the artist and vote for your choice.  There are some beautiful paintings.  I did not enter this year.

I went to the Coffee Dog and sketched while Gene was in PT today.  I had a latte and sketched.  I needed "people" for an item on the list for the Scavenger Hunt.  I didn't do well.  I'm either out of practice or too worried about my subject leaving.  Good reasons, right?

These are in the Canson Travel sketchbook with the Acurite 03 pen.

I went back to the PT place and noticed some big rocks in a landscaped section of the lot across the street.  Rock was also on the list.

A new Hunt started today.  Here we go.....Maybe there will be a fun item or items to do in pastels so I can play in the dust.

Jo I get it - very hard to capture moving people or animals for that matter. You did a good job though. Hope you will plan on entering another Pastel show soon. Your pastels are always so lovely. Glad to read you had a quiet Easter. Sometimes having it the week before with family is nice because it doesn't seem so rushed with other family members having to be somewhere else. Take care friend. Hugs!

Debbie, thanks on the sketches. It was good to have the week before Easter. Son and wife had to get home to be with their grandkids for the weekend. Cute photos. I always enjoy your photos, paintings and thoughts.
