New year and new Hunt with a "rough" sketch. We were finally taking down the tree today and as we finished the actual removing of the decorations and taking the tree off the table, I took a break and did a sketch. Luckily I can make it fit here.

Number 1 rough - the leaves of the artificial poinsettias and the "needles" of the artificial tree. The tree is 12 years old, bought after the fire. We bought the tree at the Festival of Trees so it was pre-decorated and had a bunch of tools with it as it was donated to the auction by Sears. We needed the tools and the tree.
I procrastinated about taking the tree down but had to really get it done here today as the Honeybees are coming to clean tomorrow and I wanted them to get those fallen needles vacuumed out.
Maybe a pastel or plein air sketch tomorrow. After the cleaners Gene has a quick check up so who knows.

Glad that you were able to take a break and sketch too before everything was put away. I usually take a break (or two) when putting up the tree and taking it down. Our tree is still up. Maybe I'll take it down at the end of the week.
Ha, Joan. I "had" to take it down so they could vacuum up the fake needles. Always good to sketch though.
Love it.
R's Rue, thank you.
