Saturday was a great day for the Central Texas Art Tour. The Urban Sketchers were out in force, making downtown Bastrop and surroundings very busy. https://www.facebook.com/groups/670753408196703/
There were quite a few from the USk Austin https://www.meetup.com/urbansketchers_austin/
I represented the Bastrop Sketchers setting up in the Bridges Emporium https://www.facebook.com/bridgesemporium/ Be sure and visit and see the wonderful shops with true hometown art and gifts,
I was in Lucy Todd's space. I took a few sketchbooks, pens, watercolors and coasters. I gave out blank coasters with pencils for visitors that wanted to try their hand at sketching. One little boy, Zade, handed me one back as he left. Written on it was Thank You! So sweet.
Coasters are handy as they fit in your pocket or purse and you have a sketchbook with you wherever you go. I love the mini sketches.
I didn't do much sketching, mostly talked and demonstrated the way I sketch.
This was my sketch of the table with Lucy's sketfching pencils and pens, my coffee, the box of coasters and sketchbook. It is in the Ohuhu sketchbook with a Micron 02 and an Acurit 03.
Here are a few photos from the day:
The 602 Brew Pub straight ahead. The Bridges Emporium is on the right. I didn't get a photo, they had out balloons and all. Very festive.
Carolyn and Zade in my area.
Zade sketching.
It was so nice to get out and sketch, visit with old friends and make new friends. Sketching with other artists is inspiring and makes me want to get out in the world.
This was the poster Jane made for me. I want to thank all the Emporium artists for having me. Thank you all.

I love urban sketchers! It looks like a fun time.
bag blog, it was so much fun to see so many sketchers around town. We had a great time, wish I could have gone down earlier in the day. Gene stayed home and Joanna came by and visited with him on the way to the Bugle Boy.
