Selfie and Orange Watercolor

I stay up late and was tired of TV so came to my computer.  I saw that  "selfie" was on the list for the Scavenger Hunt.  I used Facetime for a mirror and sketched in the Ohuhu sketchbook with a Micron 02.  Quickly.  I think I look like my brother and father.  Guess we all look alike when we get older with the droopy ears, no eyelashes and gray hair.  My reading glasses might distinguish me from others, but didn't want to take the time for that.

Scavenger Hunt from Life, Number 3 - selfie

As I was surfing I noticed that there aren't many contributions to the Monthly Art Prompts on creativespark.art.  Orange was one of the prompts.  My UT bear that sits on my lamp would work.  I've sketched it in pastel before, but went with watercolor to practice.  This is in the Ohuhu book as well with watercolors and Micron 02.

For the July Prompts, orange.
When I finished, I realized it was from life so could use it in the Scavenger Hunt.  For the Scavenger Hunt from life 76, Number 4, pet

Always good to kill two birds with one stone.  Why does that creepy saying fit here?  I have a strange mind sometimes.

Here is a photo and then a couple more sketches of the bear both in pastel.

Nice that your bear comes in handy in so many sketches. Good job on the selfie. We always look so serious in those...I think it is from all the concentrating.

Joan, thank you so much. The bear is cute and sits there waiting. I look thin in my selfie ... not the case. I'm smiling now.
