Copper Church in Colored Pencil

I was inspired to use my colored pencils, just for a touch of color.  Colored pencils take forever to do a "real" painting or drawing.  You might find it relaxing to color.  I find it a bit tiresome/boring as I want to just get finished.

Number 2, copper - About the only small copper item I have for the big group sketch.  It has some odd angles for drawing.  All metal and antique looking.

I was sketching with my feet up on the porch and listening/watching a video about colored pencils.  That was my inspiration.  You can watch on Draw Awesome.  They have classes where you pay and have instruction, but also lots of free videos here:

I did the church in Socorro with colored pencil on Pastelbord and framed with no glass.

I got the idea from Nicole Caulfield who is an amazing colored pencil artist.

She hasn't posted on her blog in years, but the article is there.

This appears to be her current website.

Joan, now I'm the one, I was sure I answered this. Colored pencils are work. :-)

Jennifer Rose, thank you. You get beautiful results with colored pencil. I think you have the touch.
