There are photos online for the September Water Media Challenge on creativespark.art. I try to at least do one watercolor sketch or painting. I liked a photo of some chickens. I picked two and played in the water.
These were done in the Ohuhu 7.6 x 10 inch mix media sketchbook with the Ohuhu Water Brush pens.
I wanted to scratch in some feather details but the paper is not conducive to that technique. Regular watercolor paper would have given a better result in that area.
There is a fish photo that I want to try so you may get another watercolor later in the month. We have some busy days coming up.
Hasta lumbego, my mom used to say. Ciao.

Love these Jo..
These look really good even without the feather detail. Every once in a while I want to do some scratching and realize the paper I'm using won't stand up...drat!!
Joan, thank you so much. You know you inspire my watercolor practice!
The chickens turned out great! You did well on the colors. Paper is important in watercolor.
For a sketch I would think the Ohuhu paper is okay, but probably not for anything else.
bag blog, yes the Ohuhu is going to be good for sketching. I overworked the paper, but got some ideas. Just need to use watercolors more often before I forget. Ha.
Rae, don't know why it took long for your comment to get here. You are such an inspiration for watercolor and pastels and much more. Love to hear from you. Thank you. Hugs.
