Happy Birthday Gene!!
In the meantime it is sketching.
I sketched at the imaging center. I was so surprised to find something for this unusual item on the Hunt list. It was "pertaining to coughing". I didn't really think about hunting for that item. We walked in the waiting room and sat down. Across the room in a little corner was the sign, Cover Cough, with instructions for coughing into your arm, etc. I did not go read the fine print. I sketched in the Ohuhu book with a Micron 02.

Tonight at The Bugle Boy we will see Natalie Price and Ben Jones. I'm copying the info as the blurb will move after the show.
Described by Texas Music Magazine as “one of Austin’s most dynamic new singer-songwriters,” Natalie Price’s ethereal, one-of-a-kind sound refuses to fall neatly into one category. Just as comfortable dabbling in Americana or folk as she is indie-pop, her music is perhaps best encapsulated by its deep-seated humanity. “Each of her songs takes you on this journey,” says Noëlle Hampton of Austin’s The Belle Sounds. “They capture not one emotion, but many — [reflecting] what the listener needs to feel.” For her Bugle Boy debut this weekend, Price will be sharing the stage with her friend and fellow Austin-based songwriter Ben Jones. A native of the U.K., Jones is of course no stranger to our listening room, having performed here a number of times as half of the crowd-pleasing duo Beat Root Revival (with Andrea Magee). But he’s also an accomplished solo artist with years of touring on his own under his belt — and a brand new album, this spring’s Souvenir, to spotlight on what promises to be a wonderful night of song swapping.
Eating at Winchester which is always fun and should be delicious.

Please wish Gene a Happy 31st Anniversary of his 50th birthday for us! That is a good way to look at it. Sounds like you have a busy day planned. Hope you lasted long enough for the show at The Bugle Boy!
I'm glad Gene had a nice birthday--long may the celebrations continue!
As always, I have enjoyed browsing your blog. Your sketches are fun and creative! I especially like the pot and sombrero: nice setting and cool how you covered a couple of hunts in one sketch.
Mary, thank you so much. Was thinking of you the other day, ESP I guess. Hugs.
Thank you, Joan, Gene will read these comments. Thanks from him. We had a great time at dinner and The Bugle Boy.
Happy birthday, Gene!
bag blog, Gene says, "Thanks so much". He said people keep asking him how he feels and he says he doesn't know yet because he hasn't been 81 before. :-)
