Out on the porch this morning, as usual. Pretty warm but with the fan on we can survive. Keeping the A/C on 80º to help conserve for the rest of Texas. Ha.
I sketched in the regular paper sketchbook with a Micron 03, Dick Blick gray markers and a touch of white Gelly Roll to cover the mistakes.

We went to The Bugle Boy in La Grange to music last night. First time in ages. We saw our neighbor, Libby Koch, and Jana Pochop. They are both excellent song writers.
I love Libby's voice and her guitar playing. Soooooo good. She and her husband, Chuck Hawthorne, have worked with the Soldier Songs and Voices https://thebugleboy.org/community-programs/soldier-songs-voices/
She sang a song she helped write for the group, so beautiful and tearful. Also a song she wrote about her grandparents. Anyway it was fun and a good time to see friends and musicians.
Jana said she loved dinosaurs since she was a kid and has written a song with Shawnee Kilgore about two dinosaurs in love. Shawnee was there at the show so she went on stage and sang the song with Jana.
Before the show, we went to dinner at Ere's in La Grange. It was formerly a bistro but is now Italian. Seems it is owned by a cousin to our Bassano's here in Bastrop. Excellent food. Bassano's here is closed for the month again like last year. They go to Italy during this hot time. Pretty good idea. Although, I think it is pretty hot in Europe right now. Sad to say.
