Sketching Quickly

I sketched in the mobile studio while Gene had PT for Scavenger Hunt from Life 18.

Number 2, pertaining to taste - some candies in the center console
Number 3, free space (my choice) - at the eye doctors eye glass section

Both sketches in the small mix media sketchbook.

When one sketches in a public place you have to be quick.  The cars come and go, the people come and go.  You never know how long you have.  I haven't done it a lot but I like the challenge.

Maybe soon I can get a painting done.  I've been thinking about it.  Really.....

Yes, you have to be quick when you are sketching in public. People, animals, and vehicles don't stay still. Hope you get to work on a painting.

I don't agree, ...

Often people are sitting down on the same spot where others where, .. sunny or nice view or what ever.

If you keep them modest you might be able to fill them in more detailed at the end.

Adrew Judd use to make some mirical cafe sketches, ....
His "old" blog is still aproachable !!

Joan, thanks so much. I know you say that you start a sketch of people in line at coffee shop or someplace and just fill in the ideas as the subjects change. You are very good at that now!

René, thanks for the links. Judd is very good at the people sketches/paintings. I looked at wetcanvas again. They are still in a rut trying to redo the site. It seems the magazine/owners want to make it into a place with lots of videos. We are out in the boondocks and have poor and expensive internet so not too appealing to spend more money to chat and learn from the other artists.

you need a bumper sticker that says mobile artist studio now 😀

Jennifer Rose, ha! Good idea but even better for Joan Tavolott that posts here. She is in her mobile studio every day. That's where I got the idea to call it that.
