Dusty Apples Sketch

The apples are actually bright and shiny, not dusty.  I played in the pastel dust to sketch them, so that kind of dust.  These are on the same piece of MeTeintes paper.  I think this is the fourth sketch on the same surface, just wipe and go.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 10

Number 2, primary color - red, apples
Number 3, secondary color - purple, napkin

It is always fun to paint apples.  I paint them when I can't think of what else to paint.  I like to eat the models, too.  This was probably about a 20-30 minute sketch wipe off included.

We are off to take paintings to Austin for the show (previous post).

Maybe lunch in Austin??  Or maybe just come home.

Have a good weekend.

Apples are fun to paint, but for some reason I never have any around. Congrats on your painting "Puddles" getting in the show. We are sitting home surrounded by mega amounts of snow today. Good day to do some art. Hope you enjoyed Austin.

You do good apples - probably because they are red :)

Bag Blog, you made me chuckle. I do like to paint with red. Apples are fun because of the different shades of red and the yellow and green touches. I would rather paint them than eat them. I joke that I like to eat the models, but Gene does more of the eating.

Joan, thank you. It was great to get in the show after a few years absence. Lots of work though. You had much more snow that I am interested in. Ha.

Jennifer Rose, you are so right models and snacks. Each apple is different, too. Thank you!
