Silver and Gold Sketches

Sketching in the big book is demanding.  Demanding me to get finished with it.  I'm about 3/4 of the way through the 300 pages on both sides.  What was Jennie thinking when she bought it and what was I thinking when I started it?  It mostly has Scavenger Hunt sketches in it.  It isn't handy to carry around and do random sketches when I'm at the doctors or waiting in line somewhere.  Those times call for a small sketchbook or my phone.

Today I sketched on my footstool in the living room with the TV on.  I don't remember what we were watching.  Hmmm.  Must have been a Hallmark movie, they are so memorable.  Because of our internet we don't stream very much.  We are limited on speed and usage.  We can watch on our iPhones "free" because we have Directv but very small screen so not handy for both of us to watch something.  We are allotted 25 G or whatever per month and a movie on TV in HD used 6G an hour .... so.  Don't know why I'm getting off track on that.  Directv is raising their rates after the first of the year, too.  Grumble, grumble.

I sketched in the big book with the Micron 02 and colored pencil for Scavenger Hunt 660

Number 3, silver- ribbon on the spool is silver.  There were so many reflections that it doesn't read as silver.
Number 4, gold - ornament from the lottery
Number 5, white - the white box
Number 6, green - green box
Number 7, red - red ribbon

On Christmas Eve, Shay asked me if we had wifi. I told him we did, and asked why. He wanted to stream some music from his phone. I told him I had a CD player and lots of Christmas music. I brought in the CD player from my art room and set it up and started the music. I bit later, I noticed his phone plugged in and playing music - some of the same music I had on CDs. When I asked him why he didn't just use my CD player, he said he didn't know how to use it. Good grief! He didn't realize that my internet was not unlimited (and it is near the end of the month of data). Phones have just become too easy. Although, I think my CD player is pretty darn simple.

Bag Blog, amazing isn't it? No one thinks a thing about the internet. I much prefer my own Christmas music. We had the Directv music on for a while. It was awful. We play music on our computer but from my iTunes from my CDs. Sigh......
