Sketching digitally can take a while, so I'll call that "bumps". I chose bumpy from the item list for Scavenger Hunt 617. I was thinking that someone some time back sketched bubble wrap. That sounded interesting and I thought doing it on the iPad with a bit of color would be much better than black and white ink. Digital was a good choice but as with colored pencils I got a bit bored and just rushed on through it after about 15 or 20 minutes.
Number 5 bumpy - bubblewrap
Painting everyday objects like crumpled paper, plastic bottles, etc., makes you really look at something. My teacher in Bolivia said to paint glass or other clear objects, "Just paint the color from behind as you see it and the light on it." Good advice.
Gene and I are in pretty good shape for a couple of old folks. I'm so thankful today for family, friends and to live in the United States even as crazy as it all is sometimes. Thanks to and for my art buddies.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Jo this is an interesting subject. Had to smile about getting bored with colored pencils. That has been my reaction to using them too. Great job working with digital. Have a great day.
Good advice for sketching something like this! Many, many thanks, Jo, for all your support with what is going on here. Sometimes things change from one hour to the other. Looking for good news and hopefully an improvement in his attitude toward going on.
Debbie, thanks a bunch. Fun to "see" you.
Joan, you are most welcome, wish we could do more. We think of you guys every morning.
It is so good to sketch from life, thanks for always supporting me, too.
Hugs....
Awwwww! I love your post today, Jo. I feel so thankful as well.
Your sketch is really excellent. keep them coming.....
hmuxo, thanks. I'm lucky to do art and pretty much as I please. Ha. We have had a good interesting life.
it has a nice shine to it like plastic can :)
Jennifer Rose, thank you so much. The Hunts have been good for sketching things that I normally wouldn't and make me think.
