Windshield Wipers, Slappin' out Time.....

I sketched in the travel book with the Prismacolor 03.  Very quick sketches.  We were moved in the middle of the doorway sketch, but all the rooms look pretty much the same.  Ha.

Number 6 doorway
Number 7 silver key - Gene's key with a couple of his knives on them.  He does love gadgets!  He found the black one while on his trike in Colorado as I recall.  It is wicked sharp and hard to open and close, seems dangerous to use.

We are going back and forth to Austin daily.  Yesterday was driving in thunderstorms and waiting (explains the title of this post).  We went to Seton for Gene's pre-op so we were in the garage and a walkway to the registration so didn't get wet.  Then we drove in the deluge to south Austin to his treatment and I let him out at the portico so he didn't get wet.  I waited in the car which worked well, rain was almost stopped by the time he got out.  We didn't want to drive in the storm again which was going toward our home, so we went to New World Deli and had some sandwiches, wine and chocolate cake.  A good way to stay dry .... again.

We got almost 2 inches of rain here at the house.  Some areas got 3 inches.  They expect more this evening.  The ground is well saturated so some flooding in the low water crossings.  Luckily we don't pass any of those on our route.

Our ponds are full and you can hear the little stream between the two running with water at the overflow spot.  Pretty...

Today, more of the same......

A small correction on the knife, I found this one on the bank of the dam on the NW lake by our house. You are thinking of the knives I found somewhere in Colorado on a trike ride. I think there were 4 knives, three still in the original boxes ad one on the ground. I probably would not have noticed them had the one not been out of the box because the ones in the boxes were covered by dirt. When I picked the one up moved some dirt and uncovered the other three. I gave them all away, I thought you had one of them. I do not remember who got the others, Brandon got one and I think you got one but gave it to someone. Do not remember that was at least 5 years ago when we were in route to visit your cousin in Montana

Gene, hmmmm. My mind is not so good. It is catching from you, maybe? Could be age and stress, too. Ha. Colorado find was in Buena Vista as I recall. It was cold there....
